DAY 01-03 LHASA ESCORTED TOUR

It’s just a short drive to the sacred city of Lhasa, following the path of the Lhasa River through a valley surrounded by barren mountains. As you approach the city, you will catch your first glimpse of the magnificent Potala Palace, standing proudly on the red hill. Once you arrive, we will assist you with the check-in process at your hotel, located in the old part of town known as the Tibetan area. Over the next couple of days, we have thoughtfully arranged a few worthwhile visits to various world heritage sites and significant Tibetan Buddhist sites. Alongside these visits, you will have ample time for acclimation and to alleviate any jet lag. Day 04-05: BEYOND LHASA
After a few days of acclimation, you will embark on a daring drive over the Gampa La Pass (4900m) and Karo La Pass (5050m) to reach Gyantse and Shigatse in western Tibet. Following the upstream path of the Brahmaputra River, we ascend the Gampa La Pass through numerous switch-backs. From the pass, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views of the holy Lake Yamdrok and the snow-capped Mt. Nyenchen Kangsar in the background. Continuing further, you will journey to Gyantse and Shigatse, passing through picturesque glaciers and scattered villages. Both Gyantse and Shigatse are renowned for their historical and religious significance since ancient times. Moreover, these regions have slightly different cultures and traditions compared to Lhasa.
DAY 06: DEPARTURE FROM LHASA
Today marks your last day on the Tibet plateau. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to evaluate our services to help us improve in the future. Upon your departure, your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport/train station according to your schedule. At this point, the trip officially comes to an end.
